VMC186/40
VMC 186/40 VMEbus-based Four-Axis Linear Motion Controller
The VMC 186/40 family of motion control modules are intelligent linear motion control sub-systems for use with VMEbus applications. These modules provide a highly integrated solution to control the position and/or pressure of four servo axes. The drive outputs can be configured to work with hydraulic valves and servo valves. The faimly consists of three modules:
- The VMC 186/40 senses position using magnetostrictive displacement transducers (MDT) and controls the associated output based on programmable parameters.
- VMC 186/40-TA has both analog and magnetostrictive transducer feedback. Each axis is independently programmed to operate in position or pressure control modes. The analog inputs may be used either for analog position transducers or for pressure signals.
- The VMC 186/40-TQ module has both quadrature and magnetostrictive transducer feedback for use with VMEbus applications. Each axis is independently programmed to operate in linear or rotary control modes.
