MC186/40
Multibus I based Four-Axis Linear Motion Controller
The MC186/40 family of motion controller modules are intelligent linear motion control sub-systems for use with Multibus I applications. These modules provide a highly integrated solution to control the position and/or pressure of four servo axes.
The MC186/40 family consists of the MC186/40 and the MC186/40-TA:
- The MC 186/40 senses position using magnetostrictive displacement transducers and controls the associated output based on programmable parameters. The drive outputs can be configured to work with hydraulic valves and servo valves.
- The MC186/40-TA uses magnetostrictive displacement transducers and controls the associated output based on programmable parameters. In addition, the analog inputs may be used either for analog position transducers or for pressure signals. The drive outputs can be configured to work with hydraulic valves and servo valves.

Diagnostic Program
Use of the diagnostic program, MB1MON, requires SBX-351MU option.
- Provides graphic display of previous motion profile
- Provides utilities to calculate motion parameters scale, offset and direction
- Allows user to activate simple motion profiles from a keyboard
- Permits user to change control parameters from a keyboard
- Displays parameter and status information for multiple axes
- Saves and retrieves graphic diagnostic information to Disk
